General Facilities - Maintenance
Overview:
Performs general cleaning and minor maintenance duties in maintaining the MFB Holdings building, adjacent walkways and equipment in clean, orderly and functional condition. Provides assistance to staff, visitors and other employees as necessary, including contractors.
Main Role and Responsibilities:
Performs work according to standard procedure and by building's operational schedule.
Maintains cleanliness of all hallways, walkways and entrance ways.
Uses brooms and mops to clean floors in the manufacturing plant.
Make minor carpentry, electrical, mechanical and plumbing repairs.
Empties trash cans.
Replenishes restroom supplies.
Monitors and replaces light bulbs as needed.
Clears snow from entrances and walkways.
Follows all applicable safety rules and procedures.
Performs other maintenance duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications/Education Requirements:
Must be able to effectively communicate (oral and written) with all employees, contractors and vendors.
Self-starter and Team Player.
Basic understanding of how things work (facility-related).
Ability to prioritize and manage multi-functional tasks.
Ability to work under pressure and against time constraints.
Ability to use standard powered and non-powered tools.
Physical Requirements:
Be able to walk, bend, stoop, balance, crawl and reach for extended periods of time.
Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds.
Must be comfortable and able to work on a ladder of 20 feet.
Must be able to work independently without direct supervision.
Compensation: $10-$11 per hour Position Type: Full time
